Phoenix Health and Safety are delighted to announce a partnership with the children’s charity Acorns.
Acorns Children's Hospice offers nursing care and support to children who have life limiting or life threatening illnesses and their families, supporting families around the clock, every day of the year. With services including short breaks, a range of therapies to help with the everyday care of the children, emergency and end of life care, Acorns becomes a lifeline for local families. Acorns is currently caring for over 500 children who have life limiting or life threatening conditions and their families, including bereaved families. It costs £4,500 per day to run each of Acorns’ three children’s hospices, and the charity continues to rely on donations for the majority of its income.
Phoenix Health and Safety are providing a range of
health and safety training and
health and safety consultancy services to Acorns, either totally free of charge or at cost price. The services donated include:
Nick Higginson, Managing Director of Phoenix Health and Safety, said “Acorns is a charity we wholeheartedly support. The work they do with children with life limiting or life threatening illnesses is incredible. When we found out that their health and safety budget is taken from donations, we were only too happy to offer any help we could without making any profit whatsoever. This means that a larger percentage of donations can go towards Acorns’ real purpose – providing care and support to children and their families.”
