Manual Handling Training

The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 require all organisations to:
  1. Elimimate the risks of manual handling where possible
  2. Carry out a risk assessment of any manual handling risks that cannot be eliminated
  3. Reduce the levels of risk to the lowest levels possible
This last step is likely to include providing manual handling training to any staff required to lift, carry or handle goods or equipment.

Phoenix Health & Safety can help with manual handling training in one of two ways:

Option 1 would be to have one of our expert health and safety consultants on site to deliver a half day manual handling training course for your staff. The short course would include practical elements, and would be tailored to your organisation and the things your staff are required to lift.

Option 2 would be to put staff through our manual handling e-learning course. This is a short web-based course that staff can complete in their own time. It includes an assessment and the facility to print off a certificate of achievement.

Please contact us if you are interested in either option.
